To the Family and to my soror, Mrs Velma McNear,
I am saddened for your loss. God will comfort each of you-just reach out to Him. He is always there and just a prayer away. Soror Velma, I know what it is like to lose a brother;I lost a younger brother just two years ago. My brother was only 48 years old. I am sure that your loved one knew that he was loved. May God continue to be with all of you.

Mae Jewel, Jerry and Janice,
We have wonderful memories of my brother Walt. He was so much fun. Next to God, he was right up there.
I will miss his love, hugs, smiles, cooking, and kindness.
My family and I want to thank you for the countless times you have allowed us to come into your home, and speaking for myself now, take over!! Walt said at our 50th. Birthday Celebration that, " You all don't Velma, she can be very pushy."
I'm sorry about that, just say it was because he was so easy to push. Always willing to do what was asked of of him, generous, assisting others, smiling, laughing and funny.
I love all of my sisters and brothers,
and I think you know that I loved him the most.
I will continue to come to Atlanta to see you all often. Walt won't be there, but his sweet spirit will.
Take care and I love you all very much, too.
Love always,
Sister Velma

Thank GOD for for the relationship I had with Waler and that I currently have with the family. It was a joy to serve communion door to door with him and to break bread with him and the family. I pray that GOD continues to bless the entire family with the love of Jesus Christ.
