Walter Lee White entered eternal rest at V. A. Medical Center on Monday, October 23, 2023, at the age of 71. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Walter was a 1971 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. He served his country as a member of the United States Army, from which he was honorably discharged in 1975. He was employed as a construction worker with Cycle Construction Company for many years in New Orleans and surrounding areas. Beloved husband of Beverly Price White. Loving father of Ronald, Ryan, and Bryant Price, Sr. Son of the late Charlie White, Sr. and Ora Spears White. Brother of Charlie White, Jr., Dorothy Adams, Rebecca Weber, Marion Bolden, Jeanette Stewart of Killeen, TX, and the late Wayne Joseph White. Devoted father-in-law of Rhonda Chapman Price. Brother-in-law of Carolyn White, Leroy Bolden, Lillie Roberts, Sygrid Bridges, Joe and Willie Bridges, and Madison Price. Stepson-in-law of Gilda Price; also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 godchildren, 3 uncles, 2 aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Baptist Church of Gretna, Historic True Vine Baptist Church of Westwego, Third Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; employees of New Orleans Sheriff Dept., New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board, New Orleans Cold Storage, Entergy of New Orleans, and Cycle Construction are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Shiloh Baptist Church of Gretna, 723 Magellan St. Gretna, LA of Friday, November 3, 2023 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Larry Davis, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
