Waymon Maclin Jr. Obituary
Waymon was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., an affiliation that reflected his commitment to brotherhood and service. Known affectionately as "Sax," he touched many lives with his presence and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Waymon is lovingly remembered by his wife, Lenora Maclin; daughter, Taniqua Maclin; sons Waymon Maclin III (Tara) and Nicholas Maclin (Kinza); and five cherished grandchildren: Alicia, Tanecia, Waylon, Waymon IV, and Nylan Maclin. His legacy also lives on through two brothers, Darnell Maclin and Robert Maclin; three sisters, Mary Ann Maclin, Luretha Maclin, and Karen Maclin-Blair; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends who will continue to honor his memory.
Waymon was preceded in death by his parents, Waymon Maclin Sr. and Mary L. Burton; siblings Brenda Maclin, Carolyn Maclin, and Terry Maclin; nephews Ernest Dotson and Anthony Dotson; and nieces LaAckivia Simpson, Ashanti Maclin, and Yamessa Maclin.
May the memory of Waymon "Sax" Maclin Jr. bring comfort to all who knew them. A Viewing will be held on May 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 1117 Merrill St. A Funeral service will be held directly after on May 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 1117 Merrill St. Hammond,IN 46320
