Wayne KNOWLES Obituary
Unexpectedly at home, taken much too soon on 29 December 2022, aged 55. Loved partner of Diane Richardson. Very much loved and admired Dad of Findlay and Aisling. Treasured son of Barbara and the late Lew Knowles. Friend, brother and brother-in-law to Craig and Jan, Lisa and Mark Banks. Uncle to Melissa, Hayden, Daryl and Alex. A service to celebrate Wayne's life will be held at Lychgate Funeral Home, 7 Johnsonville Road, Wellington, on Wednesday 11 January 2023, at 2.00pm. Wayne, thanks for being a great colleague and friend. You were always friendly, helpful, and a great person to discuss things with. I will miss talking to you about all things bike, going for mountain bike rides, and following along your epic adventures. You will be greatly missed at Kiwibank. Rest easy and pedal on.

Dear Diane, Findlay, Aisling and Mrs Knowles. We have never met but I was fortunate to have had a good working relationship with Wayne during his time at Kiwibank. I always enjoyed our chats - which frequently diverged from business to what the children were doing or his latest cycling injury.
I would like to express my condolences to the wider family at your sudden, tragic loss.
Many of us will not be able to comprehend the emotional turmoil which you are experiencing but rest assured that you are in our thoughts.

Wayne was a kind and dedicated person. He always wanted the best for the people he led, the teams he was in and the place he worked.

I really enjoyed all my interactions with Wayne. He was a forward thinking man who always had time to talk with colleagues about the most practical way to solve problems. Apart from the nerdy work stuff, Wayne was a truly lovely human being who always had time for a chat. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
