Wayne Wilmoth Obituary
Wayne Coy Wilmoth, age 79, passed away on Sept. 26, 2021, while listening to the NASCAR race at Mountain Valley Hospice in Dobson. Wayne was born on April 24, 1942 in Elkin to the late Eldon and Annie Mae Wilmoth. He was also preceded in death by his younger brother, Larry Wilmoth. Wayne loved playing guitar, fishing, racing, and fast cars. He was a skilled carpenter, building houses from the ground up. He was a smart man who taught himself many trades. Wayne is survived by his daughter Patricia Wilmoth, son Richard (Christel) Wilmoth, and son Shelton Wilmoth; brother Jerry (Yolanda) Wilmoth and sister Priscilla (Dallas) Nance; two grandsons Brandon (Eliana) Wilmoth and Stephan (Hannah) Wilmoth and three great-grandchildren. His graveside service took place on Oct. 2, at Crestwood Memorial Gardens.
