Wendy Lavallee [nee] Funnell

August 4 1959 - June 23,2017

Another Angel has left the Earth to the Heavens above. Wendy was the kindest most gentle soul who loved everyone. She was her fathers princess. She loved the colour orange. How we will miss her. Wendy leaves her loving husband Raymond & her special pal Leo. Also missing her are her parents Ron & Lyn Funnell, her brother Jeff his wife Kim their children Hannah & Caitlyn, her sister Dianna her children Quinto & Elijah Lenarduzzi, Raymonds mother Evelyn her husband Ralph, Raymonds brother Charles his wife Monique their children Janelle, Louis & Benoit, Raymonds brother Andre his wife Julie their children Brandon & Kaitlyn, Raymonds sister Monique her husband Jeff Rolheiser their children Leaha & Keirstin, Raymonds brother Dan his children Rebecca, Stephanie & Teagan, & Raymonds sister Suzi. Wendy and Raymond spent many years in Jasper & Banff where Wendy enjoyed being a guide using her special knowledge of the areas to teach people from around the world. She had a knack for finding even the elusive Moose, Mountain Goat or Bald Eagle in it's nest.Certain people touch the lives of others and bring them joy Wendy was one of those people. Wendy will live in the hearts of all those she has left behind always warm and caring her beautiful smile will truly be missed. Rest in peace my love for always. The ceremony will be held July 4th, 10 am at Glenwood Funeral Home and Reception Center 52356 Range Road 232 Sherwood Park, AB Ph 780-467-3337

I hadn't seen Wendy since 1986 shortly after my daughter was born. She was her usually bright, cheerful self. Wendy was my best friend in Grade school. We accelerated together, had sleep overs, crushes on the same boys, our first cigarettes. We did Junior Achievement and made beer can lighters. The time her mother's mustang skid on ice and we dinged my neighbours car. The same night, my Mom gave her brother Jeff our budgie, Mickey (long story) Those days in West Deane Park are so long ago. Graduating from MCI, long drives to Snelgrove. Partying with Boog. I haven't seen her for 31 years and still, I'm crying. What an odd day - thought I'd found an old friend on FB only to find her gone. My thoughts with the Funnell family. My sympathies to her husband and extended family and friends.

Dearest Auntie,
I will forever cherish the memories we have together- from having my first Reiki treatment to talking about whatever food uncle Ray made for the family. I know you'll be watching over us wherever we may go. May you rest with the angels now. Sending my condolences to the friends and family of Wendy and Ray. Much love,
