Wendy Oakley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 15, 2022.
It is with great sadness and heartbreak we announce the sudden passing of Wendy Oakley (nee Nicholson) in her 55th year, on January 12, 2022. With family by her side, she passed peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital. Beloved mother of Tabitha (Cliff) and Tiffany (Cam). Survived by her spouse Carl Swain and wife of Tim Oakley for many years. Cherished grandma of Jackson, Wyatt, Winston, and Logan. Daughter of Bill Nicholson (Sally) and the late Ruth Nicholson. Loving sister of Dan Nicholson and the late Brenda Packard. She will be dearly missed by all her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-law family, and friends. Mom most definitely will be greeted with joyful hugs and kisses by all those she loved who passed before her. Her reunion will be filled with lots of music, dancing, and laughter. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date in the spring. Online condolences can be expressed at www.lakelandfuneralcentre.com and donations can be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

My sincerest condolences to Tabitha and her family. She was taken from you too soon but will continue to watch over you. Love to you.

Sometimes when Tabitha wasn't home we'd talk with Wendy while waiting for her. She was good to converse with, and always kind.
Godbless, Wendy. You will be missed.
