To Mrs. Burnside and the family,
My deepest sympathy to you all. Weston and I grew up from 4th grade together were scouts and in the band and were great friends. I also am a pastor and am not surprised that God called Weston for he always had that special something and was kind. Our loss Heavens gain.
God be with you all and keep you,

To The Family of Rev. Weston Burnside Jr.
Words cannot express how sorry I am for your recent loss of Pastor Burnside. He was such a wonderful man who was a servant of the Lord and lived the life that Jesus taught us. Truly he was a gift from God to all of us who knew him. I think back on the many conversations I had with him at school and know what a impression he has made on my life. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten!!

I have been in shock at the news ever since I found out. My thoughts and prayers are with his two boys and the rest of the family. Weston was a good friend and a godly man. His death leaves a hole in our lives that will not be easily filled.

To the family of Rev. Weston J. Burnside Jr, I happened to be scanning the pages of the Meridian Star as I always do and fell upon the picture of Mr. Burnside. I have to confess that I've never seen him before. However; I stared at his photo for a few minutes and it was such a peaceful time. I then proceeded to read his obituary and it confirmed exactly what his face did- he was a man of God and his purpose on life was to make people like me think and want to do whatever it takes to get it right. You guys were so blessed to have him in your life. I just glanced at his face and he has changed my life. God bless you and my sympathy to each of you.

To the Burnside family,
Westen truly blessed our family. He was a caring and loving man always willing to help with anything we needed. My son was in his homeroom and Health class and I worked with him at First Baptist Christian School in Slidell. He is greatly missed, but we know He is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus in a place he taught our children about everyday. My family is greatful for the time we were able to know him.

We were saddened to hear of Weston's death and our prayers are with you all. It was my privilege to be Weston's Pastor for several years at Russell Baptist Church in Meridian, Ms, and we had just recently had the opportunity to reconnect with him. He honored Christ as a man of courage, discipline, and enthusiasm even in the face of tremendous discouragement and disappointment. Weston had an indomitable Spirit that drove him to pursue the Kingdom of God with all his heart. May this be true of us all. I miss him.
I'm looking forward to seeing you again my brother. Enjoy the King you represented so well!

To Weston's family, My heart is broken for you because of the loss of Weston. I will miss our phone calls. I will miss our conversations about theology, doctrine and apologetics. I will miss our discussions about Jesus. I will miss Weston's Voice. When I needed a friend most in my life, God gave me Weston. For a short time on earth, the image of God was loudly displayed in the life of Weston Burnside and I am blessed to have had Weston as my friend. One thing I know for sure, heaven has a new voice in the choir, and the Lord is smiling.

Although it has been a number of years since I have seen Wes, I watched him grow up as a small boy. I knew then that God had a great plan for him. My deepest sympathies to his close family and friends.

Weston was a a great Uncle, also a great person. He will be missed dearly. He loved to play music and tell others about his passion for Jesus Christ. He had two children Weston J. Burnside III and Jonathan Weston Burnside, whom he loved tremendously. He loved being a disciple of Christ. Spreading the word of God to whomever was lost. Weston has helped so many people physically, emotionally and mentally with any problem they may have encountered. He never put himself before someone else in need. There were so many people that have written comments in all of the blogs, some that I didn't even know who they were. They all said that they loved Weston so much. But there was this one girl who was a student at the school that Weston was teaching at, and she said "Everyday he would give me lunch money, because I didn't have anything to eat. And on the days that he didn't want to buy lunch he would bring a lunch, and he would make an extra one for me." I never knew that he did anything of the sort. But that is because Weston never boasted about anything. He was a great man. And for that I will want to thank him. I will miss you Weston. I know that you are in God's house, Worshiping Him and singing His Praise!
I Love You,
Your Niece,
Elena Burnside

Weston was a wonderful brother and friend, to me. I will miss him dearly.
He was an obedient servant of God. He graced our lives with words of wisdom and song. His compassion and devotion to us were sincere. His respect and presence kept us in awe. We all strive to be what he already was, but most falls short of this task. His knowledge was astounding. His reverence was consuming and most becoming. He never fell short of friends or the love of his family. He made us feel we were greater than we ever imagined, because he built us up with the spirit of Jesus, a foundation that would never collapse. He believed, therefore, we believed, as well.
The love he had for his two sons, Weston J. Burnside, III and Jonathan Weston Burnside, was pure and genuine. His heart was filled to capacity for the love and joy he felt in his boys. They are so young to lose such a wonderful father, for at the ages of 5 and 7, one loses parts of a past that holds such precious memories. I along with others vow to keep his memory alive and preserve them with the honor and dignity they most assuredly deserve. In Weston's sons, I see Weston, my brother.
Weston believed in the promises of God. He taught with full conviction of Jesus' teachings. Weston proved that with an abundance of faith, hope and love, one could conquer the greatest promise of all...and that was to dwell within The House of The Lord. He knew without doubt nor fear that to trust in Our Lord and to be a Disciple to all whom would listen, even to those who turned a deaf ear, to go out and spread Jesus' message, was to make sinners once again live.
Weston's message was simple, it was the same message as Christ:
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life no one comes to the Father, but through Me.
I love you Weston, I miss you so, but I know you dwell in The House of Our Lord.
Your sister,
Denise A. Burnside
