Willie Alvernaz was my grandfather, may be not by blood, but by heart. He sent me a card every-time there was a celebration, from when I was born to his very last one which was for my 8th grade graduation consisting of him being proud of how far I´ve come and to "enjoy the world". Each time he´d send me a letter it would come with his signature crisp dollar bills usually twos, along with a bag full of puzzles, coloring/crossword books, bubbles and much more even up to the day he left us physically. My favorite memories consist of going to his house and playing with his little gadgets and gizmos and hearing him talk in his Donald Duck voice. He was one of my family´s closest friends as we were neighbors but he was also my grandfather and father´s best friend as they were there for each other since the day my family moved in to our home. He was an amazing grandpa and is a key individual to my upbringing and my childhood. We miss you a lot.

Our deepest condolences. Willie was a big help to our family when my dad got sick and certainly has been in contact after my dad passed. . So sorry to hear of his loss. Unfortunately our family will not be able to attend. May he rest in peace. Heaven is certainly getting an angel.

What a guy!! My favorite cousin. He could talk to anyone and become their friend. Always had a way to make you laugh and enjoyed bringing life to a party. He was quite the character with endless talents and helping hands.
A caring man with a huge heart... yep, unforgettable for sure!

Vw with 7up stickers all over it. And the best New Years Eve party where he would serve Shirley Temples I always enjoyed sleep overs at Christine's house.

Bill was one of a kind guy. Fun to be around as he loved to laugh. We had many conversations about Ash Ave. I will miss him.

We both used to sing Elvis songs at assemblies during our 7th & 8th grade years. He was always so much better than I. He was one of a kind in lifting someone´s spirit. Bless you my friend and see you again one day.
