Dear Cornwell Family, Bill and I were sad to read of Billy´s death. We remember him so well as a friend and a neighbor, and in fact, we still refer to your family house on Rutledge Avenue as the Lockwood house. We are unable to attend the visitation or the funeral, but please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love to you all, Claudia and Bill Phillipps

Deepest sympathies and condolences to Bill's family and friends. He was a good friend and classmate at The Citadel and we will always remember his good humor, perpetual smile and pleasant personality. The Class of '72 renders a final salute as he takes his place in The Long Gray Line. May his memory be eternal.
