WILLIAM "BILL" CROUCH

VICTORIA - William "Bill" Crouch, 82, of Victoria died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011.
Bill was born Feb. 22, 1928 in Yoakum to the late William O'Brian and Kizzie Gorman Crouch. The family moved to Victoria in 1934.
Bill served in the United States Marine Corps from 1946-1948 and served in the Pacific theater during World War II. He worked as an underwater pipeline specialist in Africa, South America, Persian Gulf, Mexico, Nigeria, and France. His work in the United States included Lousiana, California, and New York. After retiring he formed his lawn service business, Leisure Lawn of Victoria. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife of almost 16 years, Caroll Schmidt Crouch; daughters, Virginia Faye Matzick and partner, Sherry Randolph of Indianapolis, Ind., and Cynthia Gale (Jim) Harris of Montgomery; stepdaughter, Sandra Jean (Fred) Perl of Bend, Ore.; stepson, David Alton (Marie) Hand of Round Rock; sister, Doris (Willis) Gathright of Victoria; grandchildren, Logan and Shelby Harris; step-grandchildren, Anthony Hand, Carson Perl, Cathy Doyle, and Shannon Damron; step-great-grandchildren, Christopher Nicholas and Zachery Doyle, David and Jonathan Damron; and several nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Janice Beams Crouch; and brother, Clyde Edwards Crouch.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Monday evening, Feb. 14, 2011, at Grace Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at First English Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Muehlbrad officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Gary Garrison, Caleb Garrison, Jim Harris, Logan Harris, Anthony Hand, and Steve Novotny.
The family requests that donations in William's name be directed to First English Lutheran Church, Hospice of South Texas or American Cancer Society.
Grace Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
