I have so many good thoughts of Bill when I think of him, always full of stories, smiling and a spark in his eyes. I know he suffered with some illness in the past few years, but he always seemed to maintain his positive attitude. I am a long time customer and even helped him in the store for a short period of time. I will miss our interactions and the store.
I hope his family has found a way to smile with memories of him and I know he will be missed by so many.

Every once and I would stop by the shop and Bill and I would sit at the front and catch up for a while remembering time past current events and discuss who and where are they now. Bill and I always enjoyed the where are they now feature of catch up. Look forward to the next time. Chip & family Blessings and prayers.

My dear Friend of 55 years, Rest in Peace.
You are already greatly missed by your family and friends. I will miss your counsel, support, historic braintrust, kind wishes to all and our numerous simple conversations at the New Englander.
With fond memories, Peace.

This has been a shock! Bill has been a friend for years!! The New Englander is my favorite store...the last purchase that I made was there! Been too difficult in recent times to shop. Chip, you have my sympathy... RIP Bill!!

So sorry to read about Bill's passing. He was a gem of a person that I remember only in positive terms from our youth. God bless his family.
