On Saturday, April 15, 2017 William (Bill) Stanley Hickey of Surrey, BC passed away at the age of 72 years. Bill was born in Victoria, BC, being the youngest child of William and Thelma Hickey. Bill was a plumber and proud member of Local 170 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for 49 years. Bill was loved by many people and will be sadly missed by his wife Kandyce Wilcox; his children Andrew (Kaoru) Hickey and Bonnie (Grant) Makarchuk; his stepchildren Gordon (Jeri) Wilcox, Audrey (Fred) Rzen; and grandchildren Noah Hickey, Brendan Makarchuk, Emma Hickey, Joel Rzen and Kyle Rzen. Bill is also survived by his two sisters, Pat Heaslip and Marilyn Rodgers and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents and brothers Bob Lyons and Dennis Hickey. Viewing on Monday, April 24 10:00 a.m. at Valley View Funeral Home,14660 72 Ave, Surrey. Interment on Thursday, April 27 10:00 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, 5455 Fraser Street, Vancouver. A Celebration of Life will take place Thursday, April 27 1:00 p.m. at the Clubhouse at Lexington Square 9109 154th Street, Surrey.
