William Lee Hileman

William Lee (Bill) Hileman, 98, passed away at his home in Tavares, Florida on December 26, 2023. Bill was born on December 25, 1925, the son of the late Ada and Ralph Hileman in Vandergrift, PA. He was a graduate of Apollo High School, served in the Army Air Force, graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology. He and his first wife Jean Yerger Hileman were the owners of Kistaco Fruit Farm in Apollo, PA. Bill and his second wife, Joyce Crays Hileman of 38 years, continued operating the farm and then retired to Tavares, FL. Bill enjoyed farming, Penn State football, fishing, boating, wood carving, reading and spending time with his family. He was a member of Apollo Presbyterian Church, a Free Mason, on the board of the Kiski Township Water Authority and served on many committees in the Apollo Area over the years. He is survived by his wife, Joyce C. Hileman, and children Lorraine Hileman Fello and her husband David of Bellefonte, PA, Tim Hileman and his wife Suzanne Boyce of Apollo, PA, David Hileman and his wife Carrie of Ocala, FL, and Lynn Hileman and his wife Valerie of Jacksonville, Beach FL. Also his nine grandchildren, Kaitlyn Fello, Tyler Fello, Miranda Hileman, Alex Hileman, Leah Hileman Becker, Chandler Hileman, Diana Hicks, Joshua Hicks, and Hunter Hileman, as well as two great grandchildren Will Hicks and Akiles Hicks. In addition to his first wife and parents he was preceded in death by his brother Ralph Hileman Jr. and sister Bertha Mae Barth. A funeral service will be held Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the Tavares Community Church at 2:00 PM. A celebration of life will also be held at the Apollo Presbyterian Church in May.
