William Hurley Obituary
The son of Jack and Mary Irene Hurley, Bill grew up in Chicago alongside his siblings. He was predeceased by his sister Nancy Reynolds and is lovingly remembered by his brothers Jack Hurley and Jim Hurley, and his sister Debbie Bularsik. His extended family includes many cousins, nieces, and nephews who were touched by his humor and warmth.
Bill shared many years with Mary Kokes, the mother of their children: Billy and Alli Hurley; Bridget Hurley; Megan Hurley; Brendan Hurley and JaiMee Greenberg; Casey Hurley; Marikate and Ray Marchand; Matthew Hurley; and Caitlin Hurley and Ivan Ruiz. His legacy continues through his grandchildren-Elexus, Journey, Seth, Collin, Marshall, Morrighan, Ivan, Charlotte, Riley, and Hudson-and great-grandchildren Azelea and Symphoni.
A man of vibrant spirit and quick wit, Bill had a lifelong passion for Irish folk music. Whether listening or playing it himself, the melodies connected him to his roots and brought joy to those around him. His comedic storytelling was legendary among those who knew him-each tale delivered with impeccable timing and a twinkle in his eye.
An avid sports fan with a particular devotion to the "Go Go White Sox and who ever beat the Cubs".
Though he has departed this world, William Joseph Hurley Sr.'s memory lives on in the stories he told, the music he loved, and the family who carry forward his legacy. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
