To The family of Bill Ittel-
My father's name was also William Henry Ittel. Even tho the two never met, I had the pleasure of meeting both Bill and Dotty some years ago and visited with them. Bill gave me alot of family history and encouraged me in my endeavor to untangle the Ittel family. We had lots of correspondence and phone calls, and found we all came from the same Philip Ittel. Bill was, indeed, a very special person, and I am so glad I had a chance to know him.
I send my sincere sympathy to all of you.

As a friend of the family I was lucky enough to spend sometime with Bill and get to know him. He had a gentle soul and could always find words to make one smile; it was always a joy to be in his company. My deepest sympathies to all in the family. Bill will certainly be missed. PEACE.

Mr. William Ittel can now meet all the people he has read about over the years and maybe even meet the young man who belonged to the Civil War hat he kept, and even other Civil War soldiers. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
