William Kandare, of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the age of 85, at Northgate Manor Health Care Facility, after a lengthy illness. Born in James City, PA, Mr. Kandare resided in North Tonawanda for the past 60 years. He was a retired employee of the Durez Co. Mr. Kandare was an Army Air Force Veteran of W.W.II where he served in the Army Engineers, was a member of Stephen Sikora Post 1322 American Legion and the O.L.C. Holy Name Society. Bill and his wife, Mary celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on June 10, 2007. He enjoyed bowling and visiting Pennsylvania.Beloved husband of Mary A. (nee Dworzanski) Kandare. Dearest father of William J. Kandare of North Tonawanda and Richard (Pam) Kandare of Warren, PA. Proud and loving grandfather of Cody Kandare. Dear brother of Charles (Valerie) Kandare of Virginia Beach, VA, Steffie Komidar of Kane, PA and the late Frank (Arlita) Kandare and Josephine Swanson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.The family will be present to greet relatives and friends on TUESDAY, December 4 from 7-9 PM at the Saber Funeral Home, 549 Oliver St., North Tonawanda (692-0271), where prayers will be offered on WEDNESDAY at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church at 9:30 AM. Entombment Holy Family Chapel Mausoleum, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.Sikora Post will have services on TUESDAY at 7:30 PM.
