William J. Lawler "Bill" passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 16, 2022 at the Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City, PA. He was 77 years old. Born October 2, 1944 in Norristown, he was the son of the late Thomas F. and Pauline (nee Pfleger) Lawler. Bill was a graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School in 1962 and earned a Bachelors Degree in Education from West Chester University and was a member of the Baseball and Football teams. Bill was a High School teacher and coach at Coatesville High School. Bill served his country proudly during the Vietnam War where he was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp. in 1971 and achieved the rank of Sergeant. Bill is survived by his brother Thomas Lawler (Rosemary), and his sister Susan Lawler, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his three sisters; Mae Ann McDermott, Kathleen Grimm, and Mary Humrichouser, and his brother Clinton Lawler. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Bill's Life Celebration on Tuesday March 22, from 9AM to 9:45 AM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike, 610-277-7000. His Funeral Service will begin precisely at 10 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's name can be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation at www.garysinisefoundation.org
