William N Meloni

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William Noel Meloni, who departed this world on April 30, 2025, at the young age of 64.

Born on August 22, 1960, in Boston, MA, Bill, like most who grew up in Winthrop, MA (Point Shirley), loved summers on Yirrell Beach. As a child, Bill attended Winthrop Public Schools, where he developed a love for hockey. He later graduated from Saint Dominic Savio High School in 1978.

Bill went on to work for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) as an Operator for over twenty years.

He was predeceased by his mother, Regis M. Ezekiel (nee Griffin), and his father, James J. Ezekiel. He leaves behind his sister, Maria E. Meloni, of Haverhill, MA; his sister Patricia A. (Ezekiel) Gedziun and her husband, Paul, of Nashua, NH; and James J. Ezekiel and his wife, Shorella, of Burlington, MA. He also leaves two nephews, Jasper Ezekiel and P.J. Gedziun.

The passing of Bill leaves a tremendous void that cannot be filled. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of the importance of kindness, forgiveness, grace, and love.

Rest in peace, Billy. You will be forever dearly missed.
