William Moulton Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 26, 2012.
Moulton, William H. 75, died peacefully at his home on February 19, 2012. He was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was a longtime resident of Bronxville, NY. Bill was the beloved husband of Gail for 46 years, devoted father of Sarah (Keith) Connolly of Pelham, NY and William H. Moulton, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY, adoring grandfather of Georgia and Katie, dear brother of Page of Los Angeles, CA, James (Terry) of Minnetonka, MN and Sissy (Sigurd) Ueland of Scottsdale, AZ and loving uncle of his nieces and nephews. Bill attended West High School and was an outstanding athlete in football, hockey and tennis. He graduated from the University of Minnesota and was a member of Psi Upsilon fraternity. In 1961, Bill moved from Minnesota to New York City, where he worked in the insurance industry. He later founded the insurance brokerage, W.H. Moulton Company, LLC in White Plains, NY. Bill served as a member of the Bronxville Library Board and also belonged to the American Yacht Club in Rye, NY and the Bronxville Field Club. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity and love of family. He was an avid reader, with a keen interest in history and current events. He loved sports and the outdoors, especially sailing on the Sound with the wind at his back. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. A memorial service will be held at The Reformed Church of Bronxville on Friday, March 2nd at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice. Bill will be interred at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.

Played Hockey with "T" at West high, he was a great player and a serious contender. Those were great days now gone forever!

In sports he was a man against boys, especially hockey. Fun to remember the past and the events at West which no longer exists. When they tore down the the school all students went to Southwest "T" wouldn't have minded that because they had good Hockey at Southwest!

I am so sorry for your loss but he is in a better place now....

Yes he was a very good athlete at West High in tennis and foot ball, but "T" was a spactular hockey player. I played hockey with him and the line with Cheeseboro,Gilmore & Moulton was the best in the state........My guess is that now he has a hockey stick in his hands and has hooked up with Gilmore and Cheeseboro and they have found a pick up game somewhere................................Blessings,
Tony Walthall, "Staples MN"

I am so sorry to hear of T's passing and send sympathies to everyone in his widespread family. We spent endless hours in his and my early years playing hockey on Lake of the Isles in Minneapolis, MN. What great memories. I wish we could do it all over again!
