William Ness Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 23, 2022.
William Gordon Ness born June 5, 1940, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 6, 2022, at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife Carol of 56 years; children: Ella, Beverly, Kathy, and Gordon; seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. His sister, Sandra, is a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

To my Dad: I love you! You gave me life, you provided for me. You were the stability of my family and I truly thought you were " the smartest man in the world". Tears on the earth today for one so loved. You had a wonderful sense of humor; you could tell a joke as well, or better, than anyone. You can, and you did - "fix anything".

You drove Mom nuts many years with your multitude of tools scattered about your shop, mail piled on your desk, and later, after retiring from work, laying one mile of train track that filled the basement of your home in Powder Springs, Georgia. You took photos at parties of place-settings with no person in the picture, yet, you were awesome, you were "Dad".

You were so wise and you gave good advice.

You loved Jesus and served the poor and needy, and spent hours helping at church and giving abundantly of your finances.

You were a rock to me. I will miss you exceedingly...I suppose there are so many memories that will continue to flood my mind in the coming days, that I will let my words and my mind rest here. My heart aches, but I also rejoice - as I understand you are in the presence of Jesus, and have entered eternity having fought the good fight and having finished your course.

All my love! Ella
