William Irvin "Bud" Patterson Jr.

Blue Springs, MO - William Irvin "Bud" Patterson Jr., 69, passed away on January 23, 2024, at his home in Blue Springs, MO. He was born on August 26, 1954, in Kansas City, MO, to William Sr. and Shirley Patterson.

Bud was a life-long resident of Blue Springs, MO. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. Bud was known for his infectious laughter and stature along with always having something to share. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bud is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Debbie Patterson; his daughter, Jamie (Billy) Soldi; his son, Scharles Patterson; and, Matt (Steph) Patterson. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Shirley Patterson; his granddaughter, Alexis Forrest; and his grandparents, Emmit and Gladys Jacobi, Opal Burnap, and Edna and Rosco Patterson.

Bud attended Blue Springs High School and graduated with the class of 1972. Bud enjoyed getting together with past classmates.

He worked 27 years as a UPS driver, retiring in 2012. Bud took pride in his work and was well-respected, saying "What Can Brown Do For You!"

In his free time, Bud loved traveling, boating, and fishing and was an avid sports fan, with a love for the Kansas City Chiefs.

An open house celebration of life for Bud will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, between 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at his home located at 508 NW Lakeview Rd., Blue Springs, MO. Family and friends are welcome to come and share their memories of Bud.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association in Bud's honor. Contributions to this organization will support their efforts to find a cure and help those affected by diabetes.

Please join us in remembering and celebrating the life of Bud Patterson. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
