WILLIAM CLARK
Age 81, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away at St. Clair Hospital on Thursday, April 19, 2018. While born in Illinois, he considers Indianapolis to be his hometown, having attended grade and high school there, and graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Economics. While in college he became a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Phi Beta Kappa. After graduating, he served in the Army on active and reserve status for twelve years, in Infantry and Army Security Agency branches, reaching the rank of Captain and leading a 350-man unit. Initially joining Procter and Gamble in Cincinnati, he spent the last 32 years of his business career with The Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa) with the title of Corporate Nomad. His work in Sales and Marketing Management took him to locations across the US and to Europe and Asia. Not one to pause after retiring, he transferred his energy into his work with the Presbytery and his beloved church, Southminster Presbyterian Church. Throughout the years, he was able to serve as an Elder at the church and Moderator of the Presbytery. He was lucky enough to have two marriages full of love and many adventures. He married his college sweetheart, Cyndy in 1959 and had 39 years of traveling and raising two boys together. After her death, he became reacquainted with Pat at their 40th class reunion at Indiana. They were married for 18 years and had wonderful travels around the world and visiting their children in California, Florida, and Connecticut. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Pohlmann; and his children, Steve Pohlmann, Jeff Pohlmann, Peter Wells, and Lynne Murphy; and seven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, his family is requesting that donations be made to Southminster Presbyterian Church. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 799 Washington Road, Pgh., PA 15228. We'd be remiss to not take this opportunity to say what Bill would want to put in print - GO STEELERS, GO PENS, GO PIRATES!

Just learning of Bill's death on this church notice. He was an amazing person, church leader and we are so sad to read this. With love to his family - Miriam and Allen Foster.
