William Price III, age 93, died at home on February 8, 2023. The beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Cassidy Price, Mr. Price was a devoted father and loving grandfather. He was a resident of Upper Providence Township for nearly three decades before moving to Nether Providence where he spent the last 37 years.
Son of the late William Price Jr. and Elva E. (née Sakers), Bill was born and raised in Pennsylvania’s oldest city, Chester. He was a graduate of Chester High School and attended the United State Air Force Technical School. Bill was honorably discharged as a Sergeant with the US Air Force and served in the Army Reserve and Merchant Marines. He enjoyed a long career as a lab technician at Sun Oil Refinery in Marcus Hook where he studied the chemical analysis of manufactured products. He furthered his education attending classes at Denver University Night School.
Bill was a 32nd Degree Free Mason, a former police officer and a past president of Edgmont County Club. He was involved with both Reformation Lutheran Church and Media Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed golf, classic cars, reading, trivia and movies – he knew them all! Bill was an excellent cook and “mixologist.” He had a great appreciation for music and was the drummer for the “Rhythm Riffs.” He enjoyed summers in Barnegat Light New Jersey on Long Beach Island and absolutely treasured time spent with family.
Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Cassidy Price, and his son, Mark William Price of Media, PA. He is survived by his loving daughter, Tracy Elizabeth Price, also of Media, PA. Fondly known as “Bop”, he is survived by four (4) loving grandchildren: grandsons, Angelo Adrian Lochetto, Jr. and William Price Lochetto; and granddaughters, Samantha Christine Price and Meghan Cassidy Price.
Bill was extremely charitable; a donation to your favorite charity, in his name, would be most appreciated.
Arrangements: "No fanfare" as requested, but please do join us our cherished friends, in celebrating the life of William Price III any day, as we continue to celebrate him, each and every day.

Such sad news. Bill was a neighlbor and friend to many of us at Crum Creek Valley. He would often sit and happily chat with us in the Main Lobby. It saddens me that it has taken this beautiful obituary to discover what a multi-faceted, Renaissance Man this kind, articulate gentleman was. He will be missed. Sincere condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, dear friend.

I was so sad to hear about your Dad Tracey, we loved living across the street from your family. Your Dad was wonderful, always happy to all the children on the block. You were his princess and loved you so much.
Hoping all the happy memories you all shared together will help lessen the sadness you are feeling.

Tracy. Your dad was always friendly to me even though I was a “punk” that lived nearby and hung out with your brother. I remember him being jovial and interested in what you were up to. He had a great run and had a great family. RIP

I will remember 'Uncle Bill' fondly. He tried so hard to teach my brother Harvey to play the drum pad when we were kids - Alas. He looked so cool back in 1958 in his 'shark- skin' suit that he convinced me was made from real sharks that he caught at the shore. And always the suave gentleman with the great sense of humor. Rest in peace, 'Uncle' Bill.

I was fortunate to have known and loved Bill as a benefit of his, Betty’s and Tracy’s deep, enduring friendships with my father, Lex DiSanti.
I can recall so many fond memories of my family gathering together with them at the Long Beach Island Annual Clam Bake in Harvey Cedars, NJ; wonderful memories filled with laughter and much love. I also treasure the memories of us celebrating together at the annual Delaware County Bar Association’s Justinian Dinner Celebration over many years. It was always an absolute joy to see them; they felt like family.
Bill, Betty and Tracy always left me with a feeling of genuine joy and brightened any occasion with their animated stories and howls of laughter. Genuinely kind hearted, beautiful people with a wicked sense of humor.
I know how deeply Bill loved Betty and how saddened he was by her passing. The only bright side to the loss of Bill is in the belief that he is, once again, aside his beloved Betty eternally. I will truly miss Bill and am grateful to have known this wonderful man. May he rest in peace.
