William R. Robak (Bill) of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2020 at 94 years old. Bill grew up in Maplewood, NJ where he graduated from Columbia High School. He then went on to graduate from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. Bill was a proud veteran who served in WW II. He worked for Ciba Pharmaceuticals, where he met Alice, the love of his life. He then went on to work for Organon, Inc. (now Merck) for the majority of his career. Bill and Alice were married for 68 years and together they raised their 4 children in New Jersey. After retiring, Bill and his wife moved to southern NH where they lived happily for many years in their beautiful home. Bill's caring nature will be deeply missed by family members and friends. There was nothing Bill enjoyed more than spending time with family and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. Nothing brought a smile to his face quite like visits, videos and pictures of his great grandchildren. In his younger years Bill enjoyed sailing and listening to music, he had an extensive collection of classical and folk music. In recent years Bill enjoyed a good puzzle and studying the variety of birds that frequented his yard. Bill is survived by his children Bruce Robak, Barbara MacPhee and her husband Dan, Christine Robak and her wife Michele Larkey, and David Robak and his partner Melinda Boss; 3 grandchildren, Bruce Robak, Jr., Brittany Pusateri and her husband Anthony, and Kyle MacPhee and his partner Jolyn Tinkham; 3 great-grandchildren and a small extended family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In honor of Bill's life, donations can be made to your favorite charity in his name.

Bill, we never had the chance to meet, but I bet we would have hit it off famously. Would I do know for certain is that your daughter Chris is one of the most wonderful and genuine people on earth and apples don't generally don't fall too far from the tree. Thank you for your legacy and may you Rest In Peace, sir.

I had the pleasure of meeting both your parents when we worked together, my first impression was the love that you could feel they had for each other and how proud they looked ever time you spoke. My heart is with you and your family, Diana Bradley

I remember meeting Barb's dad several times years ago when he would come to her and Dan's house. He always had a smile on his face and a welcoming way about him. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the whole MacPhee family. May your wonderful memories of him bring you comfort.
