ROWEN WILLIAM HOWARD
Of Shaler Twp., passed away Friday, March 27, 2015. Beloved husband and best friend of Suzanne (Frost) Rowen. He was born March 6, 1940. Preceded in death by his father, William K. Rowen; and loving mother, Rose Marie (Paoletti) Rowen. Survived by many loving nieces; nephews; and great-nieces and nephews. He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant beginning February 1962 and was honorably discharged March 31, 1968. Bill worked as a tile layer for many years and also worked for WPNB Bank (aka: Equibank) for 31 years. Bill was an avid water skiier and owned his own boat in his younger years. He and his parents built many trains and displays. He also loved fishing, bowling, dancing, and target shooting. Friends and family will be received Monday from 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at WORRELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 820 Main St., Sharpsburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Juan Diego Parish, Sharpsburg in St. Mary Church. Many thanks to Family Hospice, especially Lynn, Jessica, Sara, Michelle, Laurie, Cindy, Isaiah, Danny, and Debbie for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Family Hospice In-Patient Center/ Canterbury, 310 Fisk St., Pgh., PA 15201.

I remember Bill well from our days at Langley High School. The good old class of "58. May his family hold dear all good memories of him.
