"Well done thy good and faithful servant."William Sanders closed his eyes on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at the Parkway Manor Rehabilitation Center in East Orange, New Jersey.William Sanders was born on February 12, 1931 in Hampton County, South Carolina. He was son to the late Eugene Sanders and Marie Gooding Sanders.William was educated in the Hampton County Public School system. He relocated to New Jersey where he attended Humanity Baptist Church in Newark, NJ for many years. He married his wife, Helen Sanders on August 26, 1988. William was employed as a brick mason and worked in construction for many years. His favorite past time was watching wrestling and baseball. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. Although our beloved William is no longer with us, his kind and loving spirit will be remembered dearly by all who knew and loved him.William leaves to cherish his loving memory: his wife, Helen Sanders; two sons, Douglas Sanders of Newark, NJ and Harold Anderson of Dawson, GA; two daughters, Helen Opoku of Belleville, NJ and Releana Sutton of Hampton, SC; one sister, Julia Sanders of Orange, NJ; four sisters-in-law, Eloise Sanders and Lucille Sanders, both of Newark, NJ, Ophelia Sanders of New York City, and Lila Mae Sanders of Allendale, SC; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.To send condolences or a lasting tribute to the Sanders family, please sign the online guestbook.
