William Schipani Obituary

William Ralph Schipani, age 70, of Boca Raton, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Boca Raton, FL. Interment will follow at Boca Raton Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm on Monday and Tuesday at Babione Funeral Home (west chapel, 561-483-9500), Boca Raton.

Bill Schipani was born September 17, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the successful owner of "Tri-State Hearing Aid Service" in Pittsburgh and later "Better Hearing Aid Service" in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was a long time member of the YMCA of Pittsburgh. After moving to Boca Raton in 1979, he continued his involvement and dedication with the YMCA as a contributor, fundraiser, Chairman of the Board and volunteer.

Bill Schipani was preceded in death by his parents, Pasqual and Margaret and son William. Bill is survived by Judy, his loving wife of 51 years; cherished daughter Pam A. with husband Chris Olson and proud son Gary C. Schipani. He is also survived by two brothers, Patrick J. and Michael L. Schipani and families; beloved grandchildren Alicia Olson, Mia and Billy Schipani; many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. The family has suggested expressions of sympathy may be made to the Dr. William P. Schipani Scholarship Fund at the YMCA of Boca Raton.
