William Sinischo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 13, 2021.
William Randall Sinischo, 92, of Lapeer, passed away on November 18, 2021.

Known affectionately as "Lovely Bill" or "LB," he was born on August 2, 1929, in Detroit, MI, to William and Lydia Sinischo.

After graduating from Valparaiso University with a degree in zoology, LB trained stateside in the U.S. Army, Artillery Branch, at Fort Sill in Oklahoma from 1952-1954. He was honorably discharged and received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal during his service. Later, LB met and married Sandra Perkins, whom he lovingly referred to as the "Dragon Lady," a beautiful character from a 1930s and 1940s comic book. They were married 46 years and fortunate to make their home and raise their two daughters in Pleasant Ridge. LB had a strong Lutheran faith and loved reading, history, art, and the theater. Acting was his passion and selling steel was his profession. Over the years, he defined himself as star of "stage, screen and steel." LB lived big and did things his way, including living on his own and driving a Chevy Camaro until his death.

LB is survived by his daughters Joy Ellen (the late Charles) Buhagiar, Susan Cullen, Cara (Pat) O'Neill, and Alexandra (Darren) Clark; son, Randy; brother, Timothy; sister, Sandra Ritter; and grandchildren Joy, Terrence, Cory, Christian, Rachel, Connor, Aidan, Owen, Quinn, Isabelle, Cooper, and Wyatt. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

LB was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra, his parents and brother, Bobby.

A celebration of LB's life will be held on Tuesday, December 28th at 11 a.m. at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 1800 W. Maple Rd., Birmingham. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and the Detroit Reparatory Theatre.
