I will always admire and respect Mr. Sunderland as he put his faith and trust in me as an individual. When the Ottawa Lake Co-op Elevator was in financial distress in the late 1990's, he believed in me as a young manager of the Co-op and was a major influence to have Monroe Bank & Trust take us on as a customer. The Co-op turned itself around and has continued to grow. I will never forget the relationship I had with Mr. Sunderland.
