TILLAPAUGH, William "Bill"
It is with great sadness we announce that on July 9, 2012, William "Bill" Tillapaugh passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 86 years. He is lovingly remembered by his children Dale (Linda), Walter (Betty), James (Dennice), and Linda; his 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his wife Mary; his parents, Jack and Minnie; his brothers Earl, Virgil, Clyde, Frank, Clarence and Clinton; and his sisters Ethel, Marjorie and Joyce.
"Bluegrass" Bill, as he was known, was a remarkable, hard-working man for whom family always came first. He was an outstanding father, amazing grandfather, and incredible great-grandfather. He loved his late wife Mary, Bluegrass music, a good game of Euchre and Canadian whiskey. In the last years and days of his life, Bill's loyal companion and best friend Sassy (his faithful dog) was always by his side. Bill's strength, wisdom and sense of humor are an inspiration to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
At Bill's request there will be no funeral service, instead there will be a small family gathering to celebrate Bill's extraordinary life. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta or the charity of your choice.
