Sitting here tonight [01/03/2023 I am looking at a painting gifted to me by my Friend William [Bill] Verdult, ie: The DUTCH MASTER.
Bill and I became close friends, we went to Art shows together and he loved horse trading some of his paintings with me, he loved trading for cars, especially my Limousines, Bill was Fun to be around, and quite the Ladies Man, right up to his last breath at 77 ! For my birthday Bill presented me with a Marilyn Monroe painting, I will try to post it here, my favorite painting that Bill did was when Farrah Faucet sat for Bill, paid for by Lee Majors [Sim Million Dollar Man] who Bill kicked out of the sitting because Lee wouldn't be Quiet.
REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND-Gary Cantrell.

I just read where William past away. I met him in May of 2012 at DFW airport. He was flying back to Palm Springs and I was flying there to see a friend. We had the worst luck! Our flight got canceled for the airline we were both flying, got on another airline to fly to LAX, our flight was late getting to DFW so we missed our flight for palm Springs. Long story short, we paid a driver to drive us to Palm Springs and arrived at 6am. He got dropped off at the casino, and I went on to my friends. He was such a nice man. We laughed so hard with all the bad luck we were having. He said he was going to write a book about it! I'm saddened to hear about this passing.

William was a patient at our facility ManorCare in early 2016 after he had a massive stroke which left him in a coma, it was one of the most remarkable come backs I have ever scene in my medical career. Not only did he learn to swallow, talk and then walk all over again he was one of the most determined and dedicated men I have ever been so honored to help in his recovery. He continued painting and recovered to the fullest capacity able to go home after 3 months. I am proud to say I was able to help nurse him into recovery and it is patients like this that make me love the work I do. I continue to tell patients about Mr. Verdult and use him as an example often speaking of him to this day in. I will never forget what a honorary and classy man Mr. Verdult was I consider his character to be of someone great and will remember him as long as I live. I keep special place in my heart for Mr. Verdult one of the finest patients I've been able to treat.

Troy and Family, saw this today, and please accept our condolences on the loss of your father, William Verdult.

The "Dutch Master" was a Gifted and Very Talented Artist, turning out "Amazing Masterpiece Paintings" that are included in collections all over the world! We feel lucky to have several of his paintings in our collection, and lucky to have corresponded with William and yourself over the years!

William Verdult's name will live on in the Art World along with other tireless artists like Dali, Warhol, Picasso, Lichtenstein, Kaufman, and many others who kept the "Art World Torch Burning!"

Again, our deepest sympathy,

Chris & Jan Oiestad

RIP William Verdult as one of the finest and greatly talented artists I have ever been so fortunate to meet in person. He has inspired me along with the many others to do incredible things that would have never been understood if it were not for him. I pray he looks down on the vast amount of artwork spread all over then world in people's homes and throughout businesses with either reproductions or originals let him see and be proud of the works that collectors so proudly hang on there walls for the masses to take in. William Verdult once quoted Rembrandt by saying "Vanity, vanity, oh such vanity" ...

We will truly be absent with creativity minded individual at such a monolithic scale that we will only know the true vast amount of paintings he spread across the world in years to come. Some say it is 100K some say closer to 1 million only time will tell.
