Willie Newson Obituary
Willie I. Newson, 73 of Allentown passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013. He was born in Quitman, GA. Many years ago, Willie worked for Bermans & Graves Auto Dealership in Pottstown, PA. He retired as a Psychiatric Aid for The Allentown State Hospital. He was an Avis Pittsburgh Steeler Fan and had the utmost respect and admiration for The American Eagle. He often expressed great love for his sister, Geneva Benson as she did him. Willie will be sorely missed. Survivors: He is survived by a son, John E. Newson of Ft. Myers, FL; daughters, Terri McMillian of Boynton Beach, FL, Barbara Davis of Pompano Beach, FL, Denena Lattimore of Witchita, KN, Stephanie Newson of Charlotte, NC. He is survived by brothers, Lamar Newson, Jr. of Trenton, NJ, Richard Newsome of Norfolk, VA, Daniel Newsome of Anchorage, AK, Ozell Newsome, Nathaniel Newsome, Ronald Newsome, George Newsome, Anthony Newsome, all of Pittsburgh, PA. He is also survived by sisters, Geneva Benson of Allentown, PA, Cora Finley, Geraldine Waters, of Pittsburgh, PA, Mary A. Jones of Hendersonville, TN; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins and friends including a devoted companion, Felicia Yates. Services: Viewing: 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 19, at Jesse Johnson Funeral Home, located at 426 Hanover Ave., Allentown.

It is so hard for me to say goodbye to you Ira, we have been friends for so long, even when I moved away we stayed in touch with one another. You are gone, but I will never forget the good times we had through the years, our very special talks and every time I came home I came to see you, you would always scold me about something and we would laugh and talk about old times. When you died you took a little piece of my heart with you, so in return I am going to keep a piece of you here with me, so I will never forget you. You will always be in my thoughts, as I was always in your thoughts. You have always been there for me and I will never forget that. We just had that special connection. RIP Ira....Veat
