Zachary J. Thornton "Zak" of Weymouth, died suddenly on March 26, 2024 at the age of 34. Zak was a talented carpenter and a member of Teamsters Local 25 and Stagehands IATSE Local 11. He loved being outdoors, snowboarding and hiking through the woods with the boys. He was the proud father of Xavier and Sammy. Loving son of Leif A. Thornton of Quincy and Weymouth; the late Jacqueline C. (Kenney) Thornton; and Lee Thornton of Weymouth. Zak also leaves his person of many years and the mother of his boys, Ariel Savage of Pembroke. Loving brother of Erin Boles-Welsh, Damien W. Thornton, Annar L. Thornton, Valerie N. Thornton, Kyle J. Thornton, Brian Loomis, Michael Loomis, and Adam Loomis. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 4/3/24 from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Zak may be made to American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701.
