Zebudah Vaughan Obituary

Zebudah Johnson Vaughan, 89, of Orange, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at her daughter's residence. Born September 29, 1917, in Orange County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Phoebe Walker Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Vaughan; a son, Cecil Bobby Vaughan and a daughter, Bernice Vaughan White. Survivors include a brother, Thaddus Johnson of Orange; a sister, Zipporah Washington of Lanham, Maryland; two sons, Thomas Vaughan of Upper Marlboro, Maryland and Harold Vaughan of Lanham; five daughters, Sylvia Blakey of Orange, Phoebe Beasley of Unionville, Patricia Burke of Columbia, Maryland, Doris Fitzgerald of Jessup, Maryland and Jean Jones of Baltimore, Maryland; 32 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held December 9, at Little Zion Baptist Church, with Rev. Marion Wilkerson officiating. Interment followed in the Johnson Family Cemetery. Preddy Funeral Home, Orange, was in charge of arrangements.
