Compton Cabose Obituary

HOWELL - Compton Correia Cabose, age 89, of Howell, Mich., passed away Jan. 11, 2019. He was born Sept. 6, 1929, in Pomeroon, Guyana, the son of Christian and Mavis (Goveia) Cabose. He is survived by his children, Sylvan (Corel) Cabose, Wain (Linda) Cabose, Rollin (Sophia) Cabose, Verlene (Douglas) Eidenier, Bryan (Loretta) Cabose and Nigel (Crystal) Cabose; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Anthony (Linda) Cabose and Alvin (Joyce) Cabose; and one sister, Flora Boyce. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elizabeth (Tacoordeen) Cabose; two brothers, Paul and Clarence Cabose; and two sisters, Olga Lewis and Ermalita Berwick. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., and on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Highway, Adrian, Mich. Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, Mich. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, Mich. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
