John Barton Obituary
John was born on Aug. 24, 1944, in Jackson, Mich., to Michael and Mary (Strain) Barton. He is a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Jackson.
John retired from Adrian's Delphi Plant in 2001, after 24 years of service. John's Catholic faith was always a part of his life as he was a member of St. Mary's of Good Counsel in Adrian and a former member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea in Jackson. In John's earlier years, he was active in the Jackson Corvette Club, where he raced and claimed three National titles along with being a race director.
He is survived by his loving children, Tracy (Jason) Lazar of Van Buren Township and Mike (Nicolle) Barton of Jackson, four grandchildren; two brothers and one sister. John was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of the Resurrection for John will be on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, at 11 a.m. at St. Rita's Catholic Church, Clark Lake, with the Rev. Tom Helfrich as celebrant. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice of charity. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.WagleyFuneralHomes.com.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. I graduated from St. Mary's High School in Jackson with John and considered him a friend. My sister lived in the same subdivision that John did, if I recall correctly.
