Jeffery Todd Barton

LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Jeffery Todd Barton, age 62, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026. He was born December 31, 1963, a son of Jane Huntley and the late Richard Barton and the husband of Debbie Smith Barton. Jeff loved being outdoors, whether he was fishing, woodworking, or spending time in his shop working on cars. He was known as the kind of man who could fix or build just about anything, always putting his skill and care into everything he did. A master woodworker, Jeff spent many meaningful years remodeling homes alongside his son, creating not only lasting work but lasting memories.

Above all, Jeff cherished time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Those who knew him knew he was a hardworking man through and through, though Sundays were always reserved as his well-earned days of rest. Jeff will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Debbie Barton; his son, Josh Barton (Dixie); his four grandchildren, DJ Wright, Graycee Wright, Brantley Barton, and Isabelle Barton; his mother, Jane Huntley; his son-in-law, Brett Wright; his mother-in-law, Martha Taylor; his brother-in-law, Jack Smith;  and his extended family members and close friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda “Tori” Victoria Wright, and his father, Richard Barton.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, February 6, 2026, at Burgess Funeral Home, and at all other times at Mr. and Mrs. Barton’s home.
