Philip Hunt Obituary

ADRIAN - Dr. Philip J. Hunt, 82, of Adrian passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at ProMedica Bixby Hospital.
He was born Feb. 23, 1933, in Ecorse, Mich., to the late Hubert and Daisy (Rossiter) Hunt.

After graduating from University of Michigan Medical School, he started his urology practice in Adrian in the 1960s.

Dr. Hunt was an avid golfer and long-time member of the Lenawee Country Club. He loved to do the New York Times crossword puzzle and brain teasers.

He is survived by his children, David Hunt of Portage, Catherine Wright of St. Paris, Ohio, Laura (Jeff) Ver Beek of Grosse Pointe Park, Jane (Steve) Bloom of Rock Hill, N.Y., Steven (Robin Shoaps) Hunt of Fairbanks, Alaska, Elaine Hunt of Ypsilanti and Kurt Hunt of Chicago; a brother, Thomas (Gloria) Hunt of Wyandotte; and four grandchildren, David Wright, Becky Van Otto, Andrew Wright and Louise Bloom.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Hunt.
