LIMA — Jim W. Wahlie, 76, passed away on May 23, 2018, at 11:40 pm, at Mercy Health-St Rita's Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was born November 2, 1941, in Lima, Oh to Albert Jack "AJ" and Wanda (Cisco) Wahlie who both preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his brother Jerry Wahlie and sister-in-law Tammy.
He is survived by Carol A. Wahlie (wife of 41 years and loving caregiver), son David (Beth) Wahlie,sister-in-law Rachel Wahlie, siblings, Shmuel (Ruth) Wahlie, Linda Sue (Mark) Valentine, ex-wife Margaret A. Link (Wahlie), grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua (Jessica), Jonathon and great-grandchildren Madeline, Charlotte, and Mason.
Jim graduated from Shawnee High School in 1959. Later he expanded his faith and graduated from Word Of Faith Bible College in 1984. He was the founder of Wahlie's Custom Trucking, Conn-West Freight Systems, Wings of Eagles, Wahlie Motor Sports, and the author of "The God Kind of Faith For Total Prosperity". He had a great love for both family and employees. He had an extreme passion for Christ, loved leading people in worship to His God, & preaching the Word. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching the NBA (Go Cavs!) & sprint-car racing, swimming, playing with his dogs, and playing pool & euchre.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 10:00 AM at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL HOME, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Jim's son David will be officiating the service (per Jim's request) with Pastor Brandon Green and Pastor Jim Menke assisting. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 1, 2018, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
