Adele Heckman Obituary

HECKMAN

PORTLAND, Ind. — Adele Dorothy Heckman, 64, died Sept. 21, 2016.

Latin Requiem Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rose Catholic Church, Maria Stein. Father George Gabel will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery, Burkettsville.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.

I am grieving the loss of a wonderful friend. Like a beautiful butterfly, she has shed her earthly cocoon and is flying free. Adele was kind, loving, and compassionate. She loved her family, was passionate about living a wholesome lifestyle, full of energy, and eager to lend a helping hand in service to others. In spite of great pain, she made her last trip to the blueberry patch this summer...a service she thoroughly enjoyed and lovingly provided for many years. Her absence has been keenly felt by her Earth Food Coop family. She's left an honorable legacy for her children and grandchildren and may God's light that shone through her life shine on through yours. I pray God's healing and comfort to all of her family as you go through this time of great loss and deep sadness. God will see you through.
