LIMA — Angela M. Wieser, 86, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Jan. 26, 2021 at her home.
Angela was born June 29, 1934 in Landeck, Ohio to the late Ralph and Adella (Wienken) Etzkorn. On July 23, 1955, in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck, she married the love of her life, Richard Joseph Wieser, who survives her.
She went to Landeck Elementary School. She played the piano and organ for St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck. Angela graduated from Delphos St. John's and Ft. Wayne Business College. She worked at The First National Bank and later retired as a secretary from Lima Technical College. Angela was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She looked forward to spending time with her family, especially over the holidays and for birthday celebrations. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Lima where she played the organ and directed the choir for many years while making life-long friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to their mobile home in Mulberry, Florida where they entertained friends and played golf. Angela liked playing cards with family and friends. During the holidays she loved spending time shopping, sending Christmas cards, and writing letters to her friends. She learned to crochet from her mother and made many baby and special-occasion blankets. She enjoyed cooking - always making enough food for an army - and making sure that her friends, family and guests were well-fed. During the later part of her life, she was lovingly cared for by her husband, family and several care givers.
Angela is survived by four children. Kathleen (Gary) Zimmerman of Lima, Dr. Michael (Susan) Wieser of Lima, Craig (former wife Sue) Wieser, and William (Gail) Wieser of Lima; nine grandchildren, Melissa (Casey) Ames, Josh Wieser, Adam Wieser, Diana (Jeremy) Vila, Rachael Zimmerman, Alyssa (Frank) Nunziata, John Wieser, Aerika (Thomas) Baker and Alex Wieser; two great-grandchildren, Everely Ames and Corinne Vila and two sisters-in-law, Martha Etzkorn and Shirley Hoehn.
Angela was preceded in death by two brothers; Louis Etzkorn and Jerome Etzkorn; and sister-in-law Norma Etkorn.
