WAPAKONETA -- Annette Newland, 80, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 7:41 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born on January 16, 1945 in Rothram, Yorkshire, England to Graydon and Dorris (Watkinson) Watt, who preceded her in death. On September 5, 1964 she married Jody E. Newland and he survives.
Survivors also include three children, David (Tanya) Newland of Cridersville, Kendra (Tim) Smith and Bethann (Albert) Fisher both of Wapakoneta; eight grandchildren, Amanda (Mark) Lockard, Brian (Patti Sunderland) Smith, Eric Smith, Baylee Smith, Nathan (Sadrin) Fisher, Heather Fisher, Alex Fisher, Abbie Fisher; six great-grandchildren; and her dog Zoey.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Smith and a sister, June Bauman.
A 1964 graduate of Bath High School, Annette was a member of Cridersville Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed camping and traveling to Holmes County and the Smoky Mountains. In her free time, Annette loved to knit.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 31, 2025 at the Cridersville Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Jonathon Spyker officiating and burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cridersville Church of the Nazarene for a new sign.

Thinking of Jody and Family. Sorry for your loss. I met Annette and Jody at Sun Valley Campgrounds. Lots if wonderful memories with them. Jody was a Beautiful Lady and had a big heart. RIP Annette.
