LIMA - Audrey M. Dodge, 100, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Primrose Retirement Community, Lima, Ohio.
She was born October 9, 1924, in McGuffey, Ohio to the late Merlin L. and Flora (Musselman) Winegardner. On September 23, 1944, she married Roger O. Dodge who preceded her in death.
Audrey graduated from McGuffey High School in 1942. She was employed at Lima Locomotive Works during World War II and later years at the Lima Telephone Company as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Shawnee United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Marja (James) Erb of Lima, granddaughter, Joy B. (Michael) Jarboe of Billings, Montana; and three great-grandchildren, Austin, Penelope and Sloan.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Richard, and Donald Winegardner; sister, Betty (Frank) Hamilton; and an infant sister, Mary Joann Winegardner.
The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Eva Marie Wolfe will officiate. Burial will follow at Allentown Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
The family would like to thank the staff at Primrose for their loving care and compassion, and also Legacy Hospice.
