BLUFFTON — Barbara Ann Mikesell, 65, passed away January 2, 2018 at Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton.
Barbara was born November 18, 1952 in Lima, Ohio to the late John and Dorothy (Cox) Skelly. On February 21, 1971, she married Kenneth Mikesell who preceded her in death on December 10, 2006.
Barb graduated from Bluffton High School. Along with her mother, she operated the Cottage Gift Haus in Bluffton. Barb enjoyed shopping, cross-stitching and collecting hummel figurines.
Survivors include a son, Heath (Nichole) Mikesell of Bluffton; a daughter, Heather (Jason) Rutan of Springfield, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Jessica Brockert, Cobie Mikesell, Levi Mikesell, Charles Wright, Nayana Ward, Claire Rutan, Jackson Rutan and a brother, John R. (Bobbi) Skelly of Ironton, Ohio.
Barb was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Reece Mikesell.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services in Bluffton. Pastor Michael Downey officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Beaverdam. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Alzheimer's Association.
