TOLEDO -- Bette Sophia Nezamis Plummer, 95, of Toledo, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025.
She was born to Euthymios "Frank" and Neranzo "Nina" (Temple) Nezamis in Kalamazoo, MI on October 30, 1929.
Bette met her husband, Jack Plummer, when she was a flight attendant in route from Lima to Columbus. Jack was flying with his parents and grandparents to an Ohio State Football game. They began dating and later married on May 7, 1955. She stayed home to raise their two wonderful children, Anderson and Susan. Bette loved golf and was very skilled at it. She was Club Champion for several years at Lost Creek Country Club in Lima, OH, where she proudly scored a hole in one! She also loved animals and enjoyed having a Manhattan every now and then.
Bette is survived by her daughter, Susan (Ray Ruggley, Jr.) Plummer-Ruggley; daughter-in-law, Jennifer McQuade-Plummer; grandchildren, Kyle, Andy, Todd, Emily, Abby; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Ava, Jack, Paislee, Lilia, Everlee, Phoenix, Owen, Sophie; and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Plummer; son, Anderson "Andy" Plummer; parents, Frank and Nina Nezamis; and siblings, Jim, Eva, Chris (her twin), and Paul.
Services for Bette will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to Walker Funeral Home, Toledo.
Memorial donations in Bette's name may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Online condolences to the family may be made at walkerfuneralhomes.com.
