Carol "Joyce" McDonald Wapakoneta - Carol "Joyce" McDonald, 73 years young, was called up to meet Jesus in the air, on Sat., Oct. 10, 2015 at 6:51 p.m. She was born Feb. 1, 1942, in Cow Creek, WV, the daughter of Lloyd & Verda (McKinney) Goodson. On Feb. 7, 1981, she married James A. McDonald, Sr., and he passed away Jan. 19, 2007. Survivors include, daughters, Kimberlee (Charles) Bowers, Wapakoneta, Pamela (Douglas) Klosterman, Wapakoneta, Valeri (Michael) Jacobs, Sidney, OH, Carl "Keith" (Sherry) Damron, Jackson, TN, Patricia (Oscar) Rivera, Wapakoneta, Miranda Klosterman, Wapakoneta,2 step-children,19 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren, siblings, Ed (Phyllis) Goodson, Shawnee Twp., Larry (Retha) Goodson, Mansfield, OH, Brenda (Bill) Baker, Wapakoneta, numerous nieces & nephews, and 1 special nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Shawn Renee Damron; granddaughter, Emily Saam, great grandchildren, Kempton Perez, and Raegan Gaye; and her brother, Kenneth Goodson; and 2 sisters, Gaye Goodson and Lou (Stech) Sampselle. Joyce worked at Fisher Cheese Co., Wapakoneta, and Excello - Airfoil Textron, Lima. She attended the Christian Victory Tabernacle, Wapakoneta. Her hobbies included playing the guitar, singing, cooking for large crowds, cleaning, and visiting with her grandchildren. A celebration of Joyce's life will be 1:30 p.m., Wed., Oct. 14, 2015, at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, Reverend Mark Weller officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Tues. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. I'm so sorry for your loss she was a beautiful lady inside and out. I remember her and my mom ( Gay Meyers ) singing those were the days hearing them sing and playing guitars together. You are all in my Thoughts and Prayers! They are Singing and Playing guitars and praising God

So sorry for your loss, I am thinking of all of you. Joyce was one of my best friends and so was Jim. John and I are thinking of and praying for all of you in your time of need.
