WAPAKONETA -- Carolyn Rose Poling, 92, of the Kossuth area, passed away at 3:27 PM Saturday in her home with her loving family at her side.
She was born July 20, 1929 in Bowling Green, Ohio, a daughter of the late Stanley Brown and Rose Schermer. In 1948, she married Lewis Poling, who passed away July 23, 1974.
Surviving are her children; Charles "Moose" Poling of Lima, Kathleen Poling od Kossuth, Karen Poling Croft of Michigan, Constance Poling Prine and Cynthia Poling Wiechart, both of Spencerville and Thomas Poling of Kossuth; her grandchildren, Donna Croft (Shawn) Power , Jessica Croft (Brad) Williams and Christopher Croft, all of Michigan, Bryan (Margie) Prine of Piqua, Mathew (Sarah) Prine, Dale (Sarah) Wiechart and David (Ashley) Wiechart, all of Spencerville; Step-grandchildren, Julia (Jeff) Sykrybalo of Michigan, Missy Pratt of Lima, Roberta "Bobbi" Croft (Scot) Ostring of Ottawa, Gary Croft of Spencerville and Wesley (Jodi) Croft of Spencerville; 31 Great grandchildren and 4 Great Great grandchildren and her siblings; Susan( Danny) Hooker, Rick (Cheryl) Foust and Mark (Laura) Foust, all of Lima.
Carolyn was a 1948 graduate of Saint Rose High School in Lima. A homemaker, she loved to be with her family and enjoyed gardening and caning.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 PM Monday in the funeral home.
