DALE HOLLOW LAKE, TN - Craig Rone, 73, died at 4:45 p.m., May 24, 2025, at his residence at Dale Hollow Lake, Tennessee. He was born in Lima, Ohio to Polly and Rowland Rone on March 11, 1952.
On June 21, 1975, he married Linda Kohli who survives in Tennessee. They spent 50 years together, and he had hoped to make it to their 50th wedding anniversary.
He was a farmer, business owner, truck driver, and member of the 2 Million Mile Club with over 2 million miles on the road without incident for Linde Industrial Gases.
He enjoyed conversation and knew no strangers. He loved to help his friends and neighbors, and is remembered for his willingness to do anything for anyone.
Survivors also include one daughter, Melissa Rone, of Warsaw, Indiana, his mother, Polly Rone of Lima, Ohio, a brother, Matt (Rhonda) Rone, both of Lima, a sister, Dana Rone Palmer, of Lexington, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Rowland Rone.
A funeral service will begin at 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Lima Baptist Temple. Pastor Gary Hohman will officiate. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Tennessee. Friends may call from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., Wednesday at Lima Baptist Temple. Arrangements are under the direction of Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Ottawa.
