DANA MCPHERON

LIMA — Dana P. McPheron, age 58, was called into the presence of the Lord at 9:12 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Lima Memorial Health Systems.

Dana was born April 4, 1957 in Lima, to Fred and Rosemary (Martin) McPheron. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Lima. Dana's wife, Shelley (Mathews) McPheron survives in Lima.

Dana was a graduate of Lima Technical College. He worked at Ashland Chemical for 25 and 1/2 years and previously worked at Lima Memorial Hospital. Dana enjoyed youth leadership services at Bethel Baptist Church, and enjoyed working in the yard, gardening and fishing. His greatest joy was his family, he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Dana attended Open Door Baptist Church and loved giving to missions.

Dana and Shelley were blessed with three children, Dana P. (Kayla B.) McPheron, Jr., Danna Marie McPheron, and Daniel P. (Amber K.) McPheron, all of Lima; and six beloved grandchildren, Jacob C. McPheron, Miranda L. McPheron, Liam I. McPheron, Sammuel P. McPheron, Brianna R. McPheron, and Baby McPheron on the way.

Other survivors include brother, Mark (Pam ) McPheron of FL, brother, Norman (Rebecca ) McPheron, of Lima, sister, Edith McPheron - Harnishfeger of Lima, sister, Patricia Radulovich of Bellefontaine, sister, Jennifer McPheron - Wright of Lima, sister, Rebecca (Dan) Farber, of IN, brother, Fred McPheron, Jr. of Lima, brother, Jim McPheron of Lima, Brother, David (Micha ) McPheron of Lima, and several brothers and sisters - in - laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will begin 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at CHILES - LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Rev. William C. Turner will officiate the services. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2015, at the funeral home.
